Do you want to start using LinkedIn daily, but you don’t know where to start? Start by using bookmarks!
At Evyrgreen Networking, we believe that consistency is the key to success with LinkedIn.
If you want to start expanding your influence and using LinkedIn to generate leads and referrals for your business, you have to make LinkedIn a part of your daily routine. So if you want to make the most of your LinkedIn experience, use bookmarks! They’re a fast way to get what you need.
Here are 10 links we recommend everyone bookmark in their browser under a folder called “LinkedIn” on their bookmarks bar:
Let’s review each one so that you understand how to find them and why they’re helpful for your business.
1. Your Recent LinkedIn Posts
URL: [YOUR PROFILE URL HERE]/detail/recent-activity/shares/
Purpose: For you to easily find your previous posts. You want to look at this on a regular basis so you can go back to your past posts and reply to comments and get inspiration for new posts. Our Evyrgreen Networking experts check on this page an average of 5 times a day at the very least! It helps them stay aware of what is going on with their content.
Want to make sure you have a bunch of future content planned?
Networking Pro tip: We recommend you have several types of posts planned in your Evyrgreen Networking Asset Library that you gain access to when you sign up for Evyrgreen Networking!
2. Who Viewed Your LinkedIn Profile
URL: https://www.linkedin.com/me/profile-views/urn:li:wvmp:summary/
Purpose: When someone comes to your profile, they are interested in you! Maybe they Googled your name and they found your LinkedIn profile. Maybe they saw you in search while they were looking for someone that does what you do. Either way, it’s your virtual Profile Caller ID.
Check it a few times a day and see who is viewing your profile. At Evyrgreen Networking, we teach our students exclusive tactics to use this link to stay top of mind with your network and find new opportunities before they emerge! Learn more about Evyrgreen Networking here.
3. Your New LinkedIn Connections
URL: https://www.linkedin.com/mynetwork/invite-connect/connections/
Purpose: If you want to see who your most recent connections are, this is the only way to segment connections based on recent. At Evyrgreen Networking, we give you a strategy to see a certain amount of recent connections and start building a relationship with them with a tailored messaging strategy!
Why target them? Recent connections are fresh connections! That means they are actively and currently using the platform. Ten-year-old connections may have abandoned LinkedIn. But your new connections are present, so it’s key to nurture these important LinkedIn connections.
4. Your LinkedIn Notifications
URL: https://www.linkedin.com/notifications/
Purpose: This is like your feed. Our experts at Evyrgreen Networking also check out this page several times a day to see what is going on. There is always something interesting going on with your notifications. You get to see who commented, who liked, who mentioned you, who has a birthday, and more!
We recommend you review this often and take action quickly. It’s almost like your email inbox. You get an email and you can now respond to it and keep the conversation going.
5. Your LinkedIn Messages
URL: https://www.linkedin.com/messaging/
Purpose: Most people only get a few messages every week, but depending on your network you might get more. It doesn’t matter how many messages you get; it matters who is messaging you. You might get important messages from leads and potential clients. This is really important to monitor a few times a day.
6. First Degree LinkedIn Posts Via Content Search
Purpose: Looking at your feed, you will find many ads and other forms of content that appear via the hashtags you follow, company pages you follow, and other posts that LinkedIn thinks you might be interested in. Instead, you can view the content of your network via search. It’s very powerful to look through that each day as you will find great content you can engage with that usually does not come up in your feed— especially content from the past 24 hours.
Pro tip: You can use filters to review this content. At Evyrgreen Networking, we tell you exactly which filters are super helpful for building new relationships in your space.
7. LinkedIn Sent Connection Invitations Pending
URL: https://www.linkedin.com/mynetwork/invitation-manager/sent/
Purpose: LinkedIn will block you from sending more connection requests if you send out too many and you get too many rejections. For this reason, it’s important to review the old ones on this page and make sure you withdraw these requests or even engage with them to see why they have not answered your request.
Sometimes you can email someone or call them and notify them that you have a pending connection request. If you decide to withdraw you can send them another request in 3 weeks, we recommend you keep track of them in a spreadsheet! At Evyrgreen Networking, we give you a customized dashboard that allows you to track your connection requests and see what their status is.
8. Recent LinkedIn Articles
URL: [YOUR LINKEDIN URL]/detail/recent-activity/posts/
Purpose: Have you written articles on LinkedIn? If yes, it’s important to review them from time to time so that you can reshare them and create posts out of your articles. Articles are meant to be refreshed and reshared, not just sit there. So make sure you bookmark your article page and review it on a regular basis!
9. Review Recent LinkedIn Followers
URL: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/followers/
Purpose: People who are connected to you usually follow you, but you can also follow people that you’re not connected to. If you post content on LinkedIn, you might have a bunch of followers with that you can build a relationship. We recommend you check out your new followers on a regular basis and even connect with them.
10. Custom people search for your Avatar on LinkedIn
Purpose: The best way to expand your connections is to keep custom searches for the types of people you want to connect with already filled out. At Evyrgreen Networking, we’ll recommend which personas in which industries you should be targeting on a daily basis. We’ll also teach you how to save your searches! What is your avatar and do you have your searches saved as a bookmark?
